My name is Shelly Thelen and I am a beadaholic! I have had a lifelong passion and fascination with beads. About 4 years ago, I started selling Venetian glass beads and freshwater pearl beads on eBay. I loved it! My husband and I made two fabulous trips to Italy to meet glass artisans and to buy beads from them.

I have a passion for beads and turning them into jewelry. You might say that it is my obsession. My fascination for beads started at an early age. Growing up, my parents were rock hounds and they took us “rock hunting” all over the western U.S. and southwest. I gained an early appreciation for the beautiful gifts nature has to offer us.

I remember as a young girl, my grandmother bringing back from Italy beautiful Italian glass beaded necklaces. Well, as soon as I laid eyes on those gorgeous exotic and colorful beads, I was smitten. I have been collecting beads for years, but only within the last few years have I started actually seriously beading. I now have so many beads and beautiful beaded pieces that I have to start selling them! I hate to part with my designs, as I love each piece and do not make anything unless I absolutely love it. Each piece is created with love, passion, perfection and a desire to make it the most beautiful thing ever! I do not sell a piece unless I absolutely love it myself.

I live in Carmel Valley, California and am surrounded by beautiful mountains and the ocean. It is these inspirations that I gather my beading designs from. I feel truly blessed. It is my hope that I transfer that happiness and peacefulness into my jewelry creations.
